How Energy Clearing Works Scientifically speaking… The knowledge that all life and all objects, whether animate or inanimate, consist of and are interconnected by energy has existed in various cultures for thousands of years. Physicists and scientists of the modern world have now also firmly established this through research and experimentation. Further, we are now able to scientifically understand that even the most solid objects, such as rocks, are essentially condensed patterns of low-vibration energy. These apparently solid objects actually contain more space between the atoms that make up their physical matter than matter itself. With this knowledge, it is much easier to understand how the space inside and surrounding objects is filled with energy vibrating at different frequencies and how energy flowing around and through these objects can become trapped, or stagnant. Our health and well-being is also influenced by the ratio of positive and negative ions in the air around us. Higher levels of negative ions are connected to better health, improved sleep, and increased clarity, focus and energy. Whereas, higher levels of positive ions are related to sleep disturbances, fatigue, headaches, irritability, depression, chronic illness/symptoms and decreased overall health. Simply put… Every space, object and lifeform is made up of and surrounded by energy. This energy can be positive and free-flowing, or it can be negative, trapped or stagnant. Whatever kind of energy is flowing around and through us, affects our creativity, our productivity, how we feel, our well-being, and even our health. If you have noticed that you feel fatigue, tension, a lack of energy, have trouble sleeping, have symptoms that won’t seem to go away, or that you or someone in your family is more easily agitated, depressed or experiencing feelings of uneasiness, this could be due to old, stagnant energy in the place where you live or work. Whether this residual energy has been left behind by previous people, objects or events, or has built up during your own occupancy, energy clearing – also known as space clearing or environmental clearing/cleansing – can liberate trapped, stagnant energies and increase the free flow of positive, healthy, life-giving energy. Purifying the energy in your home or office can lead to more restful sleep and increased energy, focus, creativity, comfort and relaxation. Regular smudging (one method of clearing) is also beneficial for areas where an ill person resides. Space/Energy clearing draws largely from native traditions and uses natural tools that affect the vibration and flow of energy and the ratio of negative and positive ions. All sessions include personalized recommendations for maintaining healthy, vibrant energy in your living or work space. Clearing is also available for open spaces. Energy clearing and rejuvenation through Reiki is also available. This can be provided along with the traditional energy clearing or as a separate service. Traditional smudging (using herbs and incense) may be used as part of the clearing process; therefore, please let us know if you have any allergies or sensitivities.
Preparing Your Space for Clearing Unoccupied Spaces If you have not yet moved into your new home or office, this is the perfect time to clear old, negative energy and prepare this space before you move in your belongings or family. The first step is to ensure that all belongings from the previous occupant(s) have been removed from this space. Once this is complete, dust, sweep and vacuum as needed to ensure that the space is as clean as you would want it before occupying it. For a final step, walk through each room and make note of any particular feelings you have (for example, one room in particular may have a heavier or more draining feeling to it). If you feel different energy levels in particular rooms, be sure to let your practitioner know. This way we can focus more on this room and may be able to make recommendations for things you may want to continue doing to maintain healthy energy levels in that room. Please note that we will also walk through the space with you and will let you know if we notice a room or two that might need a bit more attention. Occupied Spaces The first step is to remove any belongings that you no longer want, are damaged or no longer used, or that are related to negative memories. Next, look for areas of clutter that can be organized or disposed of (this alone can help the energy of your home or office!). After you have completed this, dust, sweep and vacuum as needed to clear the space of dust and debris. The final step is to make note of any particular rooms you feel may require more attention. For example, you may have noticed that you have less energy, or feel depressed after spending time in certain rooms. If you feel different energy levels in particular rooms, be sure to let your practitioner know. This way we can focus more on this room and may be able to make recommendations for things you may want to continue doing to maintain healthy energy levels in that room.
